Delhi - India’s capital and a major gateway to the country, contemporary Delhi is a bustling metropolis, which successfully combines in its folds - the ancient with the modern. Amidst the fast spiralling skyscrapers the remnants of a bygone time in the form of its many monuments stand as silent reminders to the region’s legacy. The first impressions for any visitor travelling in from the airport are of a spacious, garden city, tree-lined with a number of beautiful parks.

After breakfast, start a full day city tour of Old and New Delhi.

New Delhi: Visit to Qutub Minar, the tallest stone tower in India. The tour also includes a drive past the imposing India Gate, the Parliament building, and the Rashtrapati Bhawan (the President's residence).

Old Delhi: Visit Raj Ghat, a simple memorial to Mahatma Gandhi; drive past the Red Fort - a world heritage site, and drive past Chandni Chowk.

After breakfast, proceed to Jaipur by road. Jaipur is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan in Northern India. It was founded on 18 November 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber, after whom the city is named. Jaipur is known as the Pink City of India and is well known for its beautiful carpets, enamelled ornaments, precious and semi-precious stones, brass ornaments and many other arts and crafts.

Arrive Jaipur and Check in at Hotel.

Breakfast at Hotel.

Morning: Visit of Amber Fort with elephant ride. This massive fort-palace complex built in hybrid Hindu-Muslim style dates back to Raja Man Singh and was the royal palace of the Kachwahas from c. 1600-1727. En-route to Amber Fort, you will have a brief photography stop at Hawa Mahal, the "Palace of Winds".

Afternoon: Visit to the Maharaja's City Palace (an imposing blend of traditional Rajput and Mughal architecture), and Jantar Mantar (the largest of five astronomical observatories built by Maharaja Jai Singh during the period 1727-1734 in north India).

Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Agra by road.

Agra is a city on the banks of the river Yamuna in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. It is a major tourist destination because of its many splendid Mughal-era buildings, most notably the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.

Arrive Agra and visit Agra Fort (UNESCO World Heritage Site). This fort was taken over from the Lodhis by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century.

Breakfast at Hotel. Full day sightseeing of Agra visiting the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is an immense mausoleum of white marble, built between 1631 and 1648 by order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favourite wife. The Taj is one of the most well preserved and architecturally beautiful tombs in the world, and a masterpiece of Muslim architecture. (Taj Mahal is closed on every Friday).

Afterwards, leave for Delhi by road. Arrive in Delhi and transfer to Airport to take the flight to Sri Lanka.

Arrive in Sri Lanka and transfer to Bentota/Beruwala.

Spend your days relaxing at leisure on the beach at Beruwala.

Breakfast at Hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
